Managed hosting for VPS, cloud, and on-prem workloads

What you get

  • A clear tier (deployment, development support, or fully managed) so scope and expectations match what you pay for.
  • Help choosing and operating realistic targets: VPS (single VM or small clusters), public cloud (managed Kubernetes, PaaS, or VMs on AWS/GCP/Azure-style providers), or on-prem (your rack, your network, your compliance boundary).
  • Runbooks, access patterns, and escalation that fit your team—whether you want to stay in the loop or fully delegate.

Where it can run

ModelTypical use
VPSPredictable cost, single-tenant control, straightforward SSH or panel workflows.
Cloud providerElastic capacity, managed services (DB, object storage, DNS), regions and IAM-heavy setups.
On-premData residency, air-gapped or low-latency LAN, existing hardware and corporate network policies.

Tiers apply the same way: we align on where it lives first, then how much of the stack you want operated for you.

Managed hosting tiers

Indicative engagement shapes—final numbers after a short scope call.

Deployment

  • Best for: You own day-to-day ops; you want a solid first deploy, handoff docs, and a clean baseline.
  • Includes: Environment layout, CI/CD hooks or release checklist, initial monitoring/health checks where applicable, cutover plan.
  • From: Project-based or small monthly retainer, depending on complexity.

Development

  • Best for: Active product work—you need reliable environments, staging parity, and someone to own releases and incidents during the build.
  • Includes: Everything in Deployment, plus environment promotion, backup/restore drills (as agreed), routine patching windows, and on-call within defined hours.
  • From: Monthly retainer sized to stack depth and uptime expectations.

Fully managed

  • Best for: You want the service treated like a product: SLO-minded operations, capacity planning, security hygiene, and ongoing roadmap for infra and releases.
  • Includes: Everything in Development, plus deeper observability, change management, and continuous improvement of reliability and cost.
  • From: Higher monthly retainer or embedded-style engagement; scoped per environment.

Ideal projects & fit

  • You have (or will have) a defined app or stack and need hosting that matches your risk and compliance profile—not a generic “unlimited support” pitch.
  • You’re OK with transparent tradeoffs (cost vs. redundancy vs. speed of change).
  • You want one accountable path for infra and releases instead of fragmented vendors.

Process

  1. Align on environment (VPS vs cloud vs on-prem), constraints (compliance, regions, access), and tier.
  2. Baseline and deploy (or migrate) with documented runbooks and access.
  3. Operate at the chosen tier; review monthly or quarterly to adjust scope.

Frequently Asked Questions

Typical work spans web apps and internal tools (TypeScript, APIs, Astro or similar), firmware and bring-up on embedded targets, and CAD or mechanical design when the problem crosses hardware and software. If it is not a fit, I will say so early.
We start with a short discovery call and a written scope: milestones, risks, and what success looks like. Then we iterate in small loops with demos, feedback, and adjustments so surprises stay small and decisions stay informed.
Most work is remote and async-friendly, with scheduled checkpoints. On-site or lab time can make sense for hardware bring-up, fixtures, or tight integration weeks. We can plan that when it matters.
By default you own deliverables paid for under the agreement. Details belong in the contract (NDA, license, and handoff). I am happy to align with your legal or procurement process.
You work with me. For larger efforts I may bring in trusted collaborators with your approval, but I stay accountable for integration and quality.
Use the contact form on this site or reach out on LinkedIn. A short description of the problem, timeline, and constraints is enough to start a conversation.
