How I work

Owner-led engineering, end to end

You work directly with me - no account team and no bait-and-switch bench. I scope web, firmware, and mechanical work with clear milestones, demos, and docs your team can maintain after handoff.

What I can help with

Web & product engineering

From prototypes to production: TypeScript, Astro, APIs, and reliable delivery for your product and team.

Embedded & firmware

Firmware, embedded Linux, sensors, and interfaces - practical engineering for reliable systems.

CAD & mechanical design

Solid modeling, CAD workflows, and practical design for prototypes and small-scale production.

Managed hosting

Deployment through fully managed operations - pick the tier that matches how hands-on you want to be, across common hosting models.

3D models

Browse interactive 3D previews. Custom parametric modeling is scoped separately.

3D scanning

Structured-light and photogrammetry workflows to bring physical parts into CAD and simulation.

CFD

Flow and thermal sketches for ducts, enclosures, and components - scoped to actionable design feedback.

FEA

Static and modal sketches for brackets, spools, and load-bearing parts - tied to material and manufacturing choices.

3D printing

FDM and resin printing scoped to material, tolerance, and finish requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Answers below mirror the main site FAQ - edited here so the services landing example stays consistent with Heff.world.

Typical work spans web apps and internal tools (TypeScript, APIs, Astro or similar), firmware and bring-up on embedded targets, and CAD or mechanical design when the problem crosses hardware and software. If it is not a fit, I will say so early.
We start with a short discovery call and a written scope: milestones, risks, and what success looks like. Then we iterate in small loops with demos, feedback, and adjustments so surprises stay small and decisions stay informed.
Most work is remote and async-friendly, with scheduled checkpoints. On-site or lab time can make sense for hardware bring-up, fixtures, or tight integration weeks. We can plan that when it matters.
By default you own deliverables paid for under the agreement. Details belong in the contract (NDA, license, and handoff). I am happy to align with your legal or procurement process.
You work with me. For larger efforts I may bring in trusted collaborators with your approval, but I stay accountable for integration and quality.
Use the contact form on this site or reach out on LinkedIn. A short description of the problem, timeline, and constraints is enough to start a conversation.
